As a former Sales Manager and Financial Education Workshop Coordinator at Old Mutual, she honed her skills in financial literacy and team leadership—experience that laid the foundation for her entrepreneurial ventures, including Pride Leather, a thriving leather repair and manufacturing business.
In the editorial space, Kholofelo has guided authors to refine their narratives by editing and proofreading two books and shaping content as an editor for The North Magazine.

Poni Abraham is a South Sudanese communications strategist and advocacy leader with over seven years of experience designing high-impact campaigns across media, civil society, and public health. She is the founder of the HerSphere Coalition, the nation's largest alliance advancing the Women, Peace and Security Agenda, and has led strategic communications for the Ministry of Health (ICAP at Columbia University), Oxfam GB, and Women for Women International. A Mandela Washington Fellow and World Bank Blog4Dev awardee, Poni specializes in translating grassroots realities into compelling narratives that drive policy change and amplify marginalized voices.

Aryane Ninsiima Tumusiime is the Visual and Audio Lead at AFV. She is a versatile media professional with hands-on experience in radio, television, print journalism, and digital media. She has demonstrated leadership in organizing media events, managing social media, and producing content under tight deadlines. Her background includes internships in TV production, radio, and public relations, complemented by active participation in media competitions and projects, showcasing her commitment and adaptability in the media industry.

Okuhle Mjadu is a South African professional with a background in legal education, stakeholder engagement, advocacy support, and project co-ordination developed in community-focused organisations. She complements her academic foundation with leadership development, equipping her to work across diverse contexts
As Volunteer and Membership Director, Okuhle coordinates volunteers and country representatives, managing onboarding and workflow whilst also overseeing members' engagement and country insights. Previously, Cynthiah has shaped digital campaigns and brand strategy for Somo Group Intelligence, Softwareske, Somo Properties Limited, and several USA-based brands, delivering measurable engagement, audience growth, and high-quality content across multiple platforms. She is skilled in campaign planning, analytics, team leadership, and visual storytelling, with certifications in Social Media Marketing and Photoshop, and a Bachelor’s in Communications and Public Relations from Karatina University. Passionate about authentic storytelling and African identity, Cynthiah builds digital platforms that empower communities, amplify voices, and mentor emerging communicators.

Sifen Mekonnen Gebremariam
Ethiopia
Sifen Mekonnen Gebremariam from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is a Software Engineering student at Addis Ababa Science and Technology University, and a full-stack developer and UI/UX designer. Passionate about ethical innovation and representation, she works on projects ranging from blockchain solutions for land registries to voice-based AI assistants.
Sifen will graduate in June 2026 and joins the LeadHER 2026 cohort to deepen her leadership skills, connect with fellow African women, and amplify her impact in technology and advocacy. She is committed to co-creating intelligent, ethical, and scalable solutions that address Africa’s unique challenges while inspiring more women to lead in tech.

Daisy Chepchirchir from Nairobi, Kenya, is a geomatics engineering student at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT), specializing in GIS and geospatial information systems. She is passionate about integrating Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with GIS to uncover insights and create innovative solutions for communities and the environment.
Daisy enjoys hiking, exploring new technologies, and participating in creative projects that inspire collaboration and growth. She joins the LeadHER 2026 cohort to connect with fellow African women, share experiences, and amplify voices driving positive change across the continent.

Rachel Wangu Njeri

Rachel Wangu Njeri from Nairobi, Kenya, is a sustainability advocate at GreenPulse Initiative, a community-based organisation focused on waste management and resilience. She also volunteers on projects promoting environmental awareness and climate action.
Rachel enjoys hiking, experimenting with new ideas, and participating in initiatives that create positive community impact. She joins the LeadHER 2026 cohort to connect with fellow women leaders, share experiences, and collaborate on projects that make a meaningful difference.

Thobeka Dladla

Thobeka Dladla is from Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa, originally from KwaZulu-Natal. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and is currently a Master’s candidate in Corporate Law at the University of South Africa, as well as a Candidate Attorney at Mchunu Attorneys.
Thobeka is passionate about empowering young Black female leaders and giving back to her community. In her free time, she enjoys reading, researching, and hiking. She joins the LeadHER 2026 cohort to strengthen her leadership skills, build her network, and collaborate with fellow African women leaders while growing both personally and professionally.

Nurah Virahsawmy

Nurah Virahsawmy is an undergraduate student in Applied Biology at Eduardo Mondlane University, Mozambique, and an aspiring researcher in health and genetics. She is passionate about using science, education, and leadership to create meaningful change and promote access to quality science education for young people.
Nurah is actively involved in community engagement, serving on the board of the Rotaract Club of Maputo Metro, where she contributes to projects on education, youth empowerment, and social development. She has presented work at scientific conferences and co-authored a book chapter. She joins the LeadHER 2026 cohort to expand her leadership skills, collaborate with fellow African women, and contribute to lasting community impact.

Rene Bosibori Bosire from Nairobi, Kenya, works in data science and machine learning, using technology and data-driven approaches to solve real-world problems and create opportunities for communities. Thato Legobi from Tembisa, South Africa, is a young professional passionate about growth, learning, and creating impact through business and community. She studied Business Management at Ekurhuleni West TVET College and currently works as a Lead Generator and Marketing Assistant, supporting research and business development initiatives.
